We might not realize it for years! If we aren’t staying present, pursuing our purpose gets in the way of the full, joyful life we deserve. We can get so caught up in chasing an “ideal” life purpose that sounds good on paper that we never get to actually take steps towards living it out. Daniel Mangena, best-selling author, speaker, and facilitator, reminds us that finding our purpose is pointless if we aren’t following our inner guidance all along the way. Dan describes how “purpose” is a static concept that helps us chart a path, but that our spirit, soul, or higher self doesn’t subscribe to the idea of a lifelong mission statement. Ultimately, forcing a life to fit a pre-determined or outdated purpose is frustrating, painful, and keeps us out of the flow of life and abundance.
